We decided to have a little picnic after church today and watch the airplanes take off. I was surprised at the number of people there. The girls had a lot of fun. Even my oldest enjoys watching the planes take off.
I love the picture below. I am so happy that I had the camera in my hand at that moment. I don’t know what they were saying to each other but they look so cute.
I wanted to find a nice place to take pictures during lunch today. I drove around to a park where I had taken a picture of some flowers. I thought I would try my macro lens on them, but they were not there. So I drove around until I thought about freedom park. I walked around for a little, sat by the pond and took a picture of a few geese. I’m not 100% happy with the background being blown out, but I still like the geese. I used my new macro lens for these images.
She love looking at herself it the mirror, she loves dancing in the mirror, she’ll change clothes every 30 minutes if you let her, she loves putting on my high heel shoes….and she loooooves to sing. She’s my little Diva.
We had a late night today and my girls are pooped….So am I.
Just playing with my macro lens today. Loving it but I need a lot of practice.
Last summer my oldest daughter was my practice model. This summer I hope to use all of my girls to practice with. Today, since my little one is sick I used my middle daughter. She’s such a sweetheart…well they all are but all in different ways.
I had a wonderful Mother’s Day today. I didn’t have to lift a finger and we just hung out together.
We had a great time today with my mom, grandma, aunt & uncle at lunch.

I’ve been saying how I wished I had a macro lens….now I finally have one. Its going to take a lot of getting use to and I’m going to need to pull out my tripod because my hands are not steady. I saw on a youtube video today that its best to start out with smaller apertures so that is what I did with most of these except the white petunia. I selected f/2.8 for it because I wanted the petals to be a little softer.
So here are some of my first pictures with my new lens. The first one is my favorite because it is of the mud pie my girls made today.
