I really enjoy good times and hanging out with friends. We went out to eat with some old friends today. One of our friends has the funniest little man. He really makes us laugh. He said the longest prayer before we ate. He’s like a 65-year-old man trapped in a 5-year-old body.
We enjoyed our time with them today and I’m grateful that we have good friends to share good times with.
Today we had Thanks Giving lunch at my daughter’s school. I really enjoyed lunch with her and seeing her teacher. I also was able to chat a little with one of her future teachers. He told me that my sweetie drew a picture of snoopy for him. That is so her!!! She’s always drawing and making something for people. She made a Happy Thanks Giving card for her tutor today. She is such a sweetheart.
As I mentioned last week I am so blessed that her school is near my job and that I was able to have lunch with her and her friends today. I also have to say that even if my job wasn’t close to her school, I’m blessed to work for a company that supports a healthy work/life balance. I’m thankful to work for such a company.
Here is a picture of her and her best friend. I pray that they will always be best friends. They’ve been friends since they were babies. I’ll have to find some old pictures of them together for a now and then post later on.
I love candy. Especially retro candy like nerds, sweet tarts, lemon heads, sprees. Yummy!!!! I’m always grateful when my husband thinks about me and brings home a big boxy of my favorite candy. To me it’s like getting roses and chocolates.

I’m cheating today. I didn’t get my post in yesterday because I was too busy yesterday evening. So today’s post will count for yesterday too.
My little girls are in swimming lessons this year. My middle daughter was so afraid of the water last year. It’s hard to believe how far she’s come with her lessons. She’s doing very well. I’m thankful that she’s no longer afraid of the water. Tonight they had their last lesson for this session so I took a few pictures of them. Her is one of my favorites.
Christmas is right around the corner. I’m not ready, as far as gift buying is concerned, but I am ready for the Christmas spirit. I love Christmas its my favorite holiday. I am thankful that we live in a country where Christmas is celebrated, and I’m most thankful for the birth of Jesus, which is what the holiday is supposed to be about.
I was looking back and pictures of past Christmases. We have been very blessed to have our family around for the Christmas holidays. Its fun looking back at my pictures. Sometimes I don’t see the improvement in my photography, but looking back at the pictures lets me know that I really am moving forward.
Christmas 2004. My oldest was 8 and the middle was 1. This was taken with my first digital camera.
Christmas 2006. My oldest was 10. This was with my first DSLR camera. The picture was ok, but it would have been nice if the focus had been on my daughter.

I’ve had one of those headaches today. They kind that hurts only on one side and makes your eye feel someone’s squeezing it. Today,,,,I’m just thankful for headache medicine.
Today I spent my lunch hour at my daughter’s school. Her class put on a play called Rock Soup. It was really cute. I was very proud of her. She tried out for the narrator’s part and got it. I’m thankful that I work close to her school and was able to spend my lunch hour with her today.
It’s day 10 and I’m still posting. I’m pretty proud of myself for making it this far without missing more days (besides the first 2). Ok so today want to say that I’m grateful for creativity, especially the creativity of a child. My middle daughter is always coming up with something. I made a post back in June talking about the meal she made for me out of play dough. Today she had some pipe cleaner and she told her little sister, “I’m going to make a turkey”. Less than 10 minutes later she came in my office and she had made a little turkey. I thought it was cute and I just appreciate her imagination and creativity.
On days like today when I’m tired and want to go to bed early, I am grateful for the invention of fast food restaurants.
