I had a wonderful Mother’s Day today. I didn’t have to lift a finger and we just hung out together.

We had a great time today with my mom, grandma, aunt & uncle at lunch.

Here is another picture with my macro lens. I hope to get out early tomorrow morning and get more pictures.

I’ve been saying how I wished I had a macro lens….now I finally have one. Its going to take a lot of getting use to and I’m going to need to pull out my tripod because my hands are not steady. I saw on a youtube video today that its best to start out with smaller apertures so that is what I did with most of these except the white petunia. I selected f/2.8 for it because I wanted the petals to be a little softer.
So here are some of my first pictures with my new lens. The first one is my favorite because it is of the mud pie my girls made today.

This is my little one’s angry face:

She’s always on the go trying to keep up with her big sisters so I cherish precious little moments like these.

Need I say more…
We took our oldest daughter to get her ears pierced. She was so excited and then nervous. Now she can’t stay out of the mirror.

Today was church school days at Sharon SDA church. My middle daughter and her classmates recited the Beatitudes. Her line was “Those who give mercy to others are happy. Mercy will be given to them. Matthew 5:7“ I’m very proud of her for getting in front of the entire church and reciting her part. She is very shy and does not like to speak in front of crowds.

This is the chair. I have used this chair to do portraits of my oldest daughter and self portraits. This is one my husband’s flea market finds and it has been very useful.
