Fun at the Park

The other week, I went to the park with my girls and practiced some of the things I’m learning in the Understanding Exposure book.  I was working on setting the correct exposure by setting my desired aperture and then adjusting my shutter speed until my camera’s light meter indicated correct exposure.  I’ve found that with my camera, when I’m in bright sunlight the exposure indicated by the camera’s light meter is too bright and I have to change the shutter speed by a stop or two.  Here are two of my favorite pictures from that day:

Both pictures were taken with the following values:

focal length – 96;  aperture 5.6; shutter speed 1/200; ISO 200; auto white balance (which I corrected before posting)
