2013 Monthly Photography Challenge – Food Photography

Hi everyone…I am back with another new post for this year’s monthly photography challenge that I am participating in with some very fun and talented ladies from Clickin Moms.

This month’s challenge was food photography.  Yummy.  I was pretty excited about this challenge because love looking at pictures of food, and finding new recipes.  There is lots of inspiration out there.  I also read a book called Plat to Pixel by Helene Dujardin.  I purchased it last year and thought this would be a great time to read it.

Taking the pictures was fun but even more fun was eating he goodies afterwards.  I didn’t try any special recipes just easy stuff I had around the house.  Maybe later own I’ll try some new recipes and post the pictures here.

The cookies were the Nestle Toll House turtle cookies, the strawberry shortcake was just short cakes from the grocery store with some cut up strawberries.  I put sugar on them and let them chill in the refrigerator for a little bit then placed some strawberries on the shortcake and drizzled some of the syrup they created from the sugar on top.  I topped with a little Cool Whip and a strawberry.  The mac ‘n’ cheese was homemade.  I baked the peach cobbler myself….but Sarah Lee  did all the hard work. The yummy cupcakes were from my local Bi-Lo grocery store.

Well I hope you enjoyed viewing this month’s challenge.  Please keep the blog circle going and head over to Melinda’s blog and check out her food photography this month.  Be sure to check come back for next month’s challenge….Interesting Perspectives.

  1. I’ve been thinking about getting that book for a while. After seeing your picutres, I think I might take the plunge and get it. They’re beautiful…and so yummy looking!

  2. Well now I’m hungry. The carrots with the tops on are beautiful, but I’m somehow craving mac and cheese and cupcakes now. I really like how you staged the cookies with milk and rolling pin as well. Great job.
